THE MONSTRESS COLLECTION
Inspired by female monsters who have historically been misrepresented, this collection aims at supporting and empowering you!
I admit to having favorites among my many magical creations and MEDUSA is one of them. Originally one of the three gorgon sisters, monstrous daughters of the Oceanic titans Phorcys and Ceto, she was later depicted as a remarkably beautiful maiden. Medusa became the target of Posidon's unreciprocated sexual feelings and, when she denied him, he raped her in the temple of Athena. The goddess then "cursed" Medusa with hair like snakes, fangs, talons, and the ability to turn men to stone with her gaze. I think these attributes were given to medusa to make her a powerful warrior, her name even coming from the word "medo" meaning "protector", making her a great support for those who have survived sexual assault. This oil is a warm blend of tuberose and vanilla that envelops the senses!
