Heart Chakra Oil

The center associated with the Air element, the Heart, or Anahata, is one of the most referenced Chakras. Even people who don’t know very much about them will sometimes mention their Heart Chakra being out of balance. This is the center that deals with self and not-self, with our relationships to people, places, things, and ideas. It is also associated with touch, longing, and the grief that settles in the chest.

When this Chakra is in balance it helps us to be empathetic and compassionate, to connect to others in a deeper and more fulfilling way. It helps to guide our intuition toward our Highest Good, allowing us to make decisions not based on animal impulse alone, but to work from a place of Freedom outside of the bounds of Karma (following your heart).

When the center is out of balance it can lead to dizziness, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest, agitation, weakened immunity, and a proclivity toward choosing only that which feeds our own desires at the expense of others. It can also lead to a feeling of being tossed about on the winds of fate, rather than being able to live actively and with intention.
